POSTED BY Brian Hoke on May 3 under arts, events

Do you have an idea you’d like to share with others? Ignite offers you a venue to share your creative project with like-minded people. Started in Seattle in 2006 by Brady Forrest and Bre Pettis, Ignite has since generated 100s of 5 minute talks across the world. There are thriving Ignite communities in Seattle, Portland, Paris, and NYC.  Now Ignite is coming to Syracuse: the first event is slated for Thursday, May 14th at Opus (in Armory Square) at 6:30pm. Please contact Maarten Jacobs or see ignitesyracuse.blogspot.com for more info.

As far as I can tell, IGNITE is an exciting and thriving creative movement that is rolling it’s way into Syracuse. For those who have not been to Opus, it is a beautiful, somewhat undiscovered gem of the downtown scene, located at 218 Walton St., in energetic Armory Square. I am sure that Opus will provide the intimate and comfortable atmosphere that will be sure to make “IGNITE Syracuse” an instant and perpetual success!
